Providing Best Services in Huntsville & Madison, AL

Cookies are small text files that a website, or a service it uses, stores in your browser. Two similar technologies work the same way for the purposes of this policy: browser storage, which keeps information in your browser for a website to read back, and tags and pixels, which are small pieces of code or images that send information about your visit to the company that operates them. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
We use the following types of cookies on our website:
Our own storage:
• Our website’s own code sets one cookie, named “ws_click”. It records the page you arrived on, when you arrived, and a six-character reference code. If you came to our website by clicking one of our Google ads, it also keeps the ad’s click identifier from the web address (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), so we can tell which ads lead to estimate requests and text messages. The reference code is added to the message our “Text Us” button prepares, so we can match a text to the visit it came from. The cookie is set only for our own website, expires 90 days after it was last updated, and you can delete it at any time (see section 5). There are no accounts to sign in to.
• If you arrive by clicking one of our ads, our estimate form keeps the ad campaign details from the web address (UTM parameters and the Google click ID) in your browser’s session storage, under the name “whiteshovel.leadForm.utm”, and sends them with your estimate request if you submit one. Session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab.
Analytics cookies:
• Purpose: These cookies help us understand how visitors find and use our website.
• Set by: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Web Analytics (see section 3).
Advertising cookies:
• Purpose: These cookies measure which of our ads lead to visits, phone calls and estimate requests, and let us show our ads to people who have visited our website.
• Set by: Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) pixels (see section 3).
Embedded maps:
• Many of our service and service area pages show an embedded Google map. Google may set cookies when the map loads.
Our website loads the following tools directly. Each tool is operated by the company named, receives information about your visit directly from your browser, and may set its own cookies:
• Google Analytics, to measure how visitors use our website, including the pages they view, how they arrived, and clicks on our phone number links.
• Google Ads, to measure which ads lead to visits, to calls from the phone links on our pages, and to estimate requests, and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. This includes Google’s conversion linker, which keeps ad click details in cookies under our website’s address, and a call conversion tag that measures phone calls from people who came from our ads.
• A Meta (Facebook) pixel, which records the pages you view so that ads on Meta’s platforms can be measured and targeted.
• Microsoft Clarity, which records how you use our pages, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, as session recordings and heatmaps.
• Ahrefs Web Analytics, to measure visits to our website.
• Google Maps, for the embedded maps described in section 2.
For how these companies use the information they collect, see their privacy policies: Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses information from websites that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites), Meta (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/), Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/privacy/privacystatement) and Ahrefs (https://ahrefs.com/legal/privacy-policy).
We use cookies to:
• Understand how visitors find and use our website, so that we can improve it.
• Measure which of our ads lead to visits, phone calls, text messages and estimate requests.
• Show our ads to people who have visited our website, on Google and on Meta’s platforms.
• Send the page you arrived on and your reference code with every estimate request, whether or not you came from an ad, and also the ad campaign details and click identifier if you arrived from one of our ads.
You can block or delete cookies, and clear stored website data, in your browser settings. Our website and its estimate form keep working if you do.
